About
In earlier days, the process of making a guitar was left to the luck of the draw... However, at Clayton, we decided to ensure that the that quality of our guitars remained extremely consistent and we identified that point in the manufacturing process that makes the most impact on the sound, the selection of the right tops and backs and also by instituting a process that makes the selection based on tone rather than which piece of wood is the next on the stack.

At Clayton, Guitar Building is an Art, Science and Tradition. Our guitars are built from carefully chosen quality wood sourced only from America, and use a mix of natural and kiln seasoning over at least 5 to 6 years before the wood is used in the making of the guitar.
Clayton guitars are painstakingly hand-crafted by master luthiers and finished in a state-of-the-art facility , which make our guitars stand out in both tone and look.
